Since 1980, the train has operated as a passenger train, taking locals and tourists alike throughout the scenic journey.

The Journey

An hour and fifteen-minute excursion presents forested backdrops aboard the 12-mile journey. The highlight of the journey for most people is most likely the
jaw-dropping Mt. Rainier, standing tall over the trees without a shade of inconspicuity. The best time to ride the train is arguably the fall season, as the foliage changes to a vibrant hue of yellows, reds, and oranges.
